Remembrance of things future: Prospective memory in laboratory, workplace, and everyday settings (12/7/2010)

Forgetting to perform intended actions has contributed to many accidents and near-accidents. In previous studies we have identified cognitive and operational factors that make even the most skilled and conscientious human operator vulnerable to inadvertently forgetting to perform critical aspects of tasks, such as setting flaps for takeoff. We have now posted in our publications section a new chapter, Remembrance of things future: Prospective memory in laboratory, workplace and everyday settings.
