PDF) began work at NASA Ames Research Center as a research assistant in 1991. She received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Psychology from San Jose State University. While at San Jose State she worked with Dr. Kevin Jordan in the area of visual perception.
After completing her Master’s thesis project at Ames on the effect of automation on workload management and pilot role, Kim was hired as a Senior Research Associate working with San Jose State University in collaboration with Dr. Key Dismukes in the Human Systems Integration Division at Ames. She has been involved with research on projects in aviation human factors with particular attention to operational teams, including training teams to analyze their own performance, and management of attention in concurrent task performance.
