Goals and objectives provide direction for NASA Enterprise programs. They reach out beyond what can be accomplished today, stretching the imagination. They force us to think of new technologies, new systems and new models for air and space transportation operations. These goals and objectives are written as outcomes to serve as a constant reminder that we must work to ensure these technologies are implemented.
The goals and objectives are broken down into the following major categories (Pillars) and sub categories (Objectives) respectively.
(A) Global Civil Aviation Pillar
(1) Aviation Safety(2) Aircraft Emissions(3) Aircraft Noise(4) Aviation System Throughput(5) Affordable Air Travel
(B) Revolutionary Technology Leaps Pillar
(6) High Speed Transportation(7) Small Aircraft Transportation(8) Tools for Aerospace Innovation
