Dr. Scott Horowitz and Members of the Astronaut Office Visit the Intelligent Spacecraft Interface Systems (ISIS) Lab for Vibration Capabilities Demo
(Apr 14, 2008)
On April 14 & 15, former Associate Administrator, Scott "Doc" Horowitz, visited the Intelligent Spacecraft Interface Systems (ISIS) lab for a demo of the lab’s human-in-the-loop vibration testing capabilities. Currently a consultant with the NASA Engineering and Safety Center (NESC), Dr. Horowitz was accompanied by representatives of the Astronaut Office at JSC, and MSFC. The visitors were given a demonstration of ARC's human-in-the-loop vibration capabilities and then collaborated with ARC ISIS personnel to develop a protocol to collect readability/legibility data and Cooper-Harper ratings under targeted vibration levels from astronauts who will be visiting Ames for VMS testing over the next couple of weeks.
