Updated "Crew Resource Management" Book Published
(Mar 26, 2010)
"Crew Resource Management" (CRM) was edited by Barbara Kanki, Robert Helmreich (University of Texas) and Jose Anca (Swinburne University of Technology) and was released in February 2010 by Elsevier Academic Press. The book is an update from the previous book called "Cockpit Resource Management" that was published in 1993. The book is divided into four parts including: The Nature of CRM, CRM Training Applications, CRM Perspectives, and Conclusions. Authors are researchers (academic and government), regulators, investigators, and military and commercial air transport , representing both US and International perspectives. While focused on Crew Resource Management in the cockpit, the book shows how the CRM concept has evolved to other domains (e.g., spaceflight, and other high risk industries) and how the tools and techniques for implementing CRM have matured as the CRM community of users have refined their ideas and methods.
