Minor in Management of Information Systems
University of Minnesota-Twin Cities (UMN-TC), Minneapolis, MN, USA
Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science- May ‘00
Osmania University (OU), Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India
Professional experience:
Senior Research Associate August ‘03 – Present
Human Factors Research & Technology, NASA Ames Research Center
Cognition Lab
- Developed a human performance model of the Air Traffic Controller for the Future Air Transportation System. Workload is estimated using the duration of resource utilization. Task completion times were obtained from FAA data analysis.
Intelligent Spacecraft Interface Systems Lab (ISIS)
- Developing a stochastic model of the Astronaut capable of predicting task completion times for a fault management task in the context of a shuttle ascent simulation while trying to reproduce natural human variability in those finishing times.
Research Assistant August ‘00 – May ‘03
Decision support systems laboratory, University of Minnesota–Twin Cities
- Implemented an intelligent decision support tool to assist the military commander in understanding and analyzing the battlefield information. Integrated this tool to create a suite of tools that aid in Military Decision Making.
Awards and honors:
- Chaired a Special Session at the IEEE SMC ‘05 conference held in Hawaii and presented the paper ‘A reactive computational model of En-Route Controller.’
- Received an Honorarium from San Jose State University Foundation (employer at NASA Ames Research Center) for Outstanding Performance at The Job in 2004
- Paper entitled ‘Observations in Air Traffic Control’ presented at the BRIMS ‘04 conference won the Recommended reading list award.
- Received Certificate of excellence from the Department of Computer science, Osmania University, India for performance in UNIX, C & C++.
- Received National merit Scholarship, State Scholarship and merit certificates in Mathematics Olympiad in India.
