received
a
bachelor's
degree
from
Barnard
College
and
a
Ph.D.
in
Cognitive
Psychology
from
Stanford
University
(CV

PDF).
While
at
Stanford
she
worked
with
Gordon
Bower
on
issues
of
bias
and
interference
in
memory,
and
conducted
her
dissertation
research
on
possible
inhibition
mechanisms
related
to
forgetting.
She
came
to
NASA
Ames
as
a
post-doc
with
Key
Dismukes
in
1999,
and
was
hired
by
NASA
as
a
research
psychologist
the
following
year.
Jessica
is
currently
working
on
theoretical
and
practical
aspects
of
prospective
memory
(memory
for
intentions),
especially
as
they
relate
to
cockpit
and
ATC
operations.
Her
work
has
included
developing
a
theoretical
framework
for
prospective
memory,
basic
laboratory
studies
on
factors
influencing
prospective
memory,
and
analysis
of
ASRS
reports.
